EN The number of burials known from the earliest stage of the Early Bronze Age in SE Poland remains relatively small. It was only recently that severalgraves were discovered that allow the principles of the burial rite of the period to be determined in more detail. These new discoveries haverevealed that some proportion of men were buried in graves richly furnished in a characteristic fashion. Apart from weapons and tools, thesegraves also contain ornaments, including copper bracelets. Burials from Giebułtów and Łuczyce in western Lesser Poland are good examples. Itis worth noting that artefacts recovered from Early Bronze Age graves show features indicative of close connections between the Early BronzeAge communities of SE Poland and the eastern steppe world.
