EN This study presents the first comprehensive analysis of vulvar motifs in the rock art of Egypt’s Dakhla Oasis. Drawing on over 650 documented examples, the paper proposes a new classification system, highlighting formal diversity and recurring formal patterns. Spatial distribution is examined to assess potential associations with movement and archaeological contexts, while cross-references with figurines, paddle dolls, and other media suggest a culturally embedded iconography extending across dynastic and post-dynastic periods. The possible connection to the goddess Hathor is briefly explored through comparative analysis and epigraphic clues, raising questions about bodily representation, divine presence in landscape, and the function of informal imagery. Although many interpretative issues remain unresolved, the study contributes to a growing recognition of marginal and non-monumental visual traditions.
