EN The article presents the results of an anthropological analysis of human bone clusters discovered in the barrow at Pamukli Bair near Malomirovo (SE Bulgaria). The remains were lying in no anatomical order in a treasure hunters’ pit (Feature 10), a grave (Feature 16), and within the layers of the barrow (Features 20A and 20B). An interpretation of the stratigraphy was proposed based on anthropological and scatter analyses. The ritual of partial burials, practised in burial mounds from the Early Bronze Age of Upper Thrace, has been characterised. The bones from Feature 10 were also linked to a destroyed Yamna culture burial.
