ES En esta aportación se presentan los resultados de las campañas de excavación llevadas a cabo en el poblado y área cementerial de Tózar, yacimiento situado en los Montes Occidentales de la provincia de Granada sobre la ruta que unía Medina Elvira con la capital califal de Córdoba. Abordamos reflexiones sobre la cultura material, los rituales funerarios y los hábitos de los moradores que vivían en este contexto. Al mismo tiempo por un lado tratamos de entender las presencias de continuidades con el poblamiento antes de la invasión islámica, y por otro los cambios sociales decisivos que causaron la desaparición del mismo poblado.
EN This contribution presents the results of the excavation campaigns carried out in the village and cemetery area of Tózar, a archeological site located in the Western Mountains of the province of Granada on the route that linked Medina Elvira with the Caliphate capital of Córdoba. We focus on reflections on material culture, funeral rituals and the habits of the people who live in this context. At the same time we try to understand the presence of continuities with the population before the Islamic invasion, and on the other the decisive social changes that caused the disappearance of the village.
