EN The paper presents results of strontium isotope analyses of individuals buried in Yamnaya culture graves discovered in northern Serbia. The study was focused on tracing the mobility processes and provenance of buried individuals. Teeth enamel of fi ve human individuals represented people of the Yamnaya culture, and for comparison one individual dated to the Late Roman Period and one of the Kostolac culture were analysed. All individuals display a very narrow range of Sr isotope signatures, from 0.7095 to 0.7101, which indicates they were of local origin. It is important to underline the uniformity of human strontium isotope signatures over a large area of the Pannonian Plain, resulting from a very uniform geological and isotopic background. Tracing mobility processes in this region thus meets with serious limitation.
