EN Finds of Bolesław III Krzywousty (Wrymouth’s) coins – a comparative study The text presents the findings of Bolesław III Krzywousty coins together with their first in 45 years cartographic depiction. Analysis is carried out against a broad comparative background, including finds of coins from the reign of Władysław I Herman and Władysław II the Exile, as well as those from Bohemia and Moravia. As a result, attention was drawn, among others, to the need to shift the disappearance of hoards from the presently accepted end of the 11th century to the second decade of the 12th century, or to the shift, during the reign of Bolesław III, of finds of coins from centres of traditionally attributed greatest importance to those considered to be less significant. A comparative analysis of the composition of hoards and their character is also presented. Attention is moreover drawn to the lack of finds of prince Wrymouth’s coins in the capital city of Krakow and its environs and, at the same time, their large concentration in the area of Wiślica (Świętokrzyskie voivodeship). This observation was considered in the context of a possible change of location of the prince’s mint during the reign of Bolesław III from Kraków to Wiślica, an idea which is subject to discussion in the text.
