EN The chapter offers the photographic material available in Poland the period of 1940 and 1970. The albums given to the representatives of the government visiting various place in Poland (1945-1956), and from the press like Świat and Przekrój (1950s) and in press from Gdańsk (1960s). The author investigates the way the photographers and the media presented the reality, and it takes him to the concluding remarks explaining how reality was constructed by the media.
